The park offers a variety of amenities which include an outdoor pool, tennis courts, ball diamonds and more. The City of Melville offers shopping, mechanical and church services, gas stations and restaurants.
Built on reclaimed wasteland in the early 1960s the park has matured into a beautiful facility. Massive tree planting programs over the years has turned what was once bald prairie into a well treed and forested area. The golf course has also matured from its original sand green 9 hole course into an excellent 18 hole fully irrigated grass greens golf facility.
There are 85 electric/water sites and 15 non-electric sites with picnic tables and barbeques included in all sites. Washrooms and showers are close to the campsites and new showers and expanded campsites are being developed in the near future.
The playground is adjacent to the swimming pool. Batting cages and tennis courts are located in the southeast boundary of the park.
